I mean that literally - the day I got my license, I blasted Taylor Swift’s new album, Red, so loudly in my car that I famously rear-ended a Bentley. It's easy to get dangerously lost in Taylor Swift's music. Her songs are so catchy and I can’t help but sing along to Taylor Swift lyrics at the top of my lungs. Taylor Swift has had an amazing career and is incredibly talented. Since discovering this, Taylor Swift has spoken out about how musicians should fight for their right to own their work. This means that Taylor has no control over any of her past music and will not get paid for it when it is used. For example, if a television show wants to use one of Taylor Swift’s old songs, they have to first get permission from Braun - and pay him a fee to use it. Now Scooter Braun owns all of Taylor Swift's masters, so he is the sole person who gets to decide how her music is distributed. She soon realized that she wanted to own her work and spent years trying to buy back her old master recordings from Big Machine founder Scott Borchetta, but he wouldn’t allow it. The music industry doesn't always seem fair to its performers, though - when Taylor Swift signed her initial record deal at 15, she gave the company ownership of her work. Throughout her career, Swift claims she was bullied by Braun, saying that he encourage his clients to post rude comments about her on social media. Big Machine was acquired by music manager Scooter Braun and he has worked closely with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Kanye West. However, her parting with them did not go smoothly. Reputation was also her last album under her deal with Big Machine Records. Those wins resulted in her becoming the most awarded female winner in the history of the AMA’s, with 23 awards total. Most notably, for Reputation, she won four awards at the American Music Awards, including Tour of the Year and Artist of the Year. Just like her past albums, these also topped the charts, obviously. For both albums collectively, she received 5 Grammy Award nominations. The entire tour will be presented by Capital One and produced by Taylor Swift Touring and promoted by the Messina Touring Group (MTG).Taylor Swift then went on to release Speak Now, in 2010, and Red, in 2012.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour will be supported by Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN. Taylor’s critically acclaimed album, Midnights, is the fastest selling album of her career. The news was made public just days after the eleven-time Grammy winner broke streaming, physical, and vinyl album sales around the world. The new versions enter the Official Vinyl Albums Chart at No.1. The album entered the chart at No.1 and spent seven consecutive weeks there. Midnights started a second week at the top of the Official Albums Chart, as the new deluxe editions of Revolver take the 1966 masterpiece back into the bestsellers at No.2. Last week, it was revealed that Swift extended her UK chart double into a second week and, in the process, won the battle with The Beatles’ reissued Revolver for No.1 in the album survey. In an Instagram post promoting the new version, Swift wrote, “Jack’s version of ‘sexy baby’ is ‘art bro’ and we sincerely hope it confuses just as many people.”
